Deep Space 17 is located near what was once referred to as the Neutral Zone. Deep Space 17 is always ready to offer a safe haven for ships who find themselves up against the wall or supplies to passing ships, ready to support, defend, and enforce the ideals of the Federation for whatever reason fate may throw our way.

We are located near the borders of the Romulan and Klingon Empires. My name is Captain Chan Lauren, Commanding Officer of Deep Space 17. Deep Space 17 is a Stardock-class starbase that has been set up in Bravo Fleet's Task Force 17 and serves as a shoreleave location for any ship in Obsidian Fleet.

Her design is based on the Stardock ll class. Starbase 47 has 2500 decks with a current Starfleet personnel complement of 100,000. Along with an average of 100,000 civilians and diplomatic personnel as well as approximately 3,500 more transient Starfleet personnel, the station is comparable to a large city.
